Analysis and repercussions of the repeal of the Press Law by the judgment of ADPF No. 130
the effects of the resignification of the right of reply in the brazilian legal system

Based on the judgment of ADPF No. 130, which addressed the incompatibility of the new constitutional order and the Press Law (Law 5.250/67), this article seeks to analyze the historical context in which the preceding legislation was drafted. Following this, it examines the issues surrounding the control of constitutionality, before beginning a study of the repercussions of the repeal of the Press Law by the Supreme Federal Court's decision, such as the scope of the right of reply and the repeal of the procedure that regulated the judicial request for a reply. Finally, this text proposes a discussion on the possibility of developing a new regulatory framework.
