Abstract

This article aims to analyze the production of the Raízes bulletin, from the Institute of Memory of the People of Ceará (IMOPEC), from 1992 to 2015, highlighting its role in preserving memory, in pedagogical training, and in social mobilization. The methodology combines documentary analysis of the bulletin's editions and theoretical-methodological reflection based on the contributions of Raymond Williams (1979). The main thematic axes addressed by Raízes are identified, as well as the strategies of resistance and social articulation promoted by the Institute. The results showed that the bulletin acted as an instrument for training, critical debate, and expansion of citizen participation, constituting a historical record and a reference for studies on education, history, culture, and social mobilization in Ceará.
