ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING IN SEMIARID WATERSHEDS IN NORTHEASTERN BRAZIL

Abstract

The planning categorization and framing of semiarid watersheds in northeastern Brazil is essential to ensure the quality waters compatible with the most diversified uses to which they are destined. Research focused on planning and spatial planning through environmental studies integrated in the context of river basins, can be fundamental for public policies aimed at better use and occupation of the territory, seeking adapt to sustainable development. In this way, the National Water Resources Policy has been improved through water resources legislation through the support of state agencies that establish security for the policy of the springs of the states of the Brazilian federation.

outor em Geografia pela Universidade Federal do Ceará - UFC (2012) Pós-Doutorado em Geografia "Educação Ambiental Aplicada a Gestão Territorial em Comunidades Ribeirinhas e Litorâneas" pela Universidade Federal do Ceará - UFC (2014). Possui graduação em Geografia/Licenciatura Plena pela Universidade Federal do Ceará - UFC (1994), Especialização em Botânica pela Universidade Federal do Ceará - UFC (1994), Mestrado Acadêmico em Geografia pela Universidade Estadual do Ceará - UECE (20004). Pesquisador do CNPq, Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Planejamento e Gestão em Bacias Hidrográficas. Atualmente é professor Adjunto K da Universidade Estadual Vale do Acaraú - UVA com experiência na área de Geociências, com ênfase em Geomorfologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Bacias Hidrográficas, Meio Ambiente, Degradação Ambiental, Planejamento Ambiental e EIA/RIMA. Professor e Orientador do Mestrado Acadêmico em Geografia da Universidade Estadual Vale do Acaraú - UVA.
