The impacts and consequences of fruit companies in the city of Ipanguaçu - RN

This work aims to address the impacts caused by humans on nature and how these actions directly affect the environment. The focus of this research is the floods in Ipanguaçu, which, despite their consistent history of flooding, have intensified in recent years due to human actions in the environment. The paper will focus on how the Baixo-Açu Project facilitated the arrival and installation of the fruit companies Agroindústria Finobrasa S/A and Del Monte Fresh Produce. For the completion of this study, newspaper clippings, photos, videos, oral testimonies, and documentation from the Civil Defense of Ipanguaçu were used to examine how these companies brought impacts to the region, resulting in flooding.
