This paper analyzes the religious and political activities of pastor Ricardo Robortella, one of the representatives of the movement known as “extravagant worship” and leader of Clamor pelas Nações. The research focuses on the influence of spiritual battle theology and theology of dominion on the conformation of charismatic religious performances in visual supports (such as records of “prophetic acts” or “prophetic worship in the streets”), that are articulated with political engagement on the right in contemporary Brazil. Based on the analysis of visual sources, such as videos of preachings and pictures posted in the social medias, the paper explores how these public manifestations are in the central of a visual culture characterized by antagonistic discourses to the progressive camp and blunt criticism to the PT.
