Social Interfaces and Knowledge in Action: An Analysis of the State of Knowledge and its Contributions to Practice in Consulting and Case-Based Learning

Abstract

This article aims to investigate how different social practices and community interactions shape knowledge in action, through the systematization and analysis of the state of knowledge regarding these interfaces in the social field. To this end, a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive approach was adopted, based on the state-of-the-art methodology, which aims to provide a broad, critical, and organized view of the academic production on the investigated theme, contributing to guiding and qualifying the analytical paths and the construction of knowledge. Data collection was carried out through searches in the digital collections of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) platform, allowing access to national and international scientific productions. The analysis was structured in thematic categories and covered the period from 2021 to 2026. The results indicate that the social relations and practices developed in spaces of interaction have the potential to contribute significantly to the strengthening and development of communities, suggesting the relevance of initiatives that seek their recognition, appreciation, and eventual support from public authorities. As a practical contribution, the study offers insights applicable to organizational consulting work and the development of teaching cases, facilitating its use by consultants and teachers in the analysis, intervention, and problematization of diverse social contexts.
