Lúcia Miguel Pereira is a famous writer known for her work in the world of letters. However, she had recognition as a literary critic in the first decades of the twentieth century and in addition to that, she has a significant collection of four novels, four children's short stories as well as some biographical texts. The thinking exposed in her first works shows a conservative, spiritualist vision where ideas that lead to the right-wing extremist direction active in the 1930s can be perceived. Although she frequently questions the woman’s social role in that context in her fictional prose, we can notice a certain contradiction when discussing the feminist movement which was incipient at that time.
