Faced with the imperative and complex topic of Mental Health, this report brings an innovative teaching-learning experience, involving 75 undergraduates, preceptors and tutors from the Education Program for Work for Health at UFRN. Aiming at meaningful learning and participant engagement, different strategies were adopted: public space in contact with nature; physical activity with music to “wake up the body”; theatrical staging of a psychiatric crisis situation to raise awareness and problematize; and conversation circles in small and heterogeneous groups, in a picnic context. The construction of knowledge in a shared, plural, horizontal, non-hierarchical and interdisciplinary way enabled a rich discussion permeated by academic, personal and professional experiences.
