This study sought to report experiences of the MeDiverte extension project in the use of active methodologies and integrative practices in health education for 458 children, as well as interventions with medical care. This is an experience report of three actions of the MeDiverte project in municipal schools of Mossoró-RN, entitled: (1) Integrative Medicine in the growth and development of children, (2) Healthy eating habits in childhood and (3) Integrative and Complementary Practices in medical care. The actions showed that the school continues to be an opinion-forming social space, capable of acting in the modification of inappropriate lifestyle habits and allowing health practices, which facilitate the implementation of Popular Education in Health and interventions for the maintenance and/or recovery of the health of schoolchildren.
