Abstract

This article aims to describe the experience performed during educational actions developed by the “Educa Mais Trânsito” Extension Project. The actions were realized in public and private schools in the city of Marabá (PA) by students and teachers from the Collective Health, Pedagogy and Geography undergraduate courses from Federal University of the South and Southeast of Pará. The project developed pedagogical strategies on traffic education, with children and youth audiences through educational lectures and interactive games. In view of the high number of accidents in the municipality, educational actions such as those developed by the project, become necessary and strategic with the working public, since they are considered multipliers of knowledge for their social circles. The project also contributed to the expansion and integration of extension practices for students and faculty members.
