DESAFIOS DA EXTENSÃO UNIVERSITÁRIA PARA O SETOR AUDIOVISUAL

Abstract

This article is intended to present the theoretical and methodological guidelines that guide the extension education project Observatório do Audiovisual Potiguar in the Department of Social Communication, the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The mission of this project is to provide analytical tools from evidence-based analysis to all agents involved in the audiovisual industry and civil society to help the economic, social and, human development of the state. Our primary purpose in this study is to describe the main elements of the proposal to reflect on the social role of extension education programs in the development of tools that assist public policies, the development of new research, and the dissemination of cultural memory and audiovisual.
