Despite the wide broadcasting of news and recommendations related to the ongoing pandemic of the New Coronavirus - and the disease COVID-19 -, the groups EMAU Maré and ATHIS identified that the language and the portrayal of those were too technician, and felt the necessity to produce guidance material of easy understanding directed to peripheral communities. The audiovisual content also came from the urge to rethink the academic extension in a context of social distancing, using the internet and the social networks as an instrument so the extensionist groups could instigate the discussion about health in impoverished settlements. Therefore, this article will go through the need to create material that match the reality of those people and will be presented the methodology, the content and the targeted audience of the playbook and the videos produced by the group.
