Submission policies

The submission policies for academic works - articles, interviews, reports of professional experiences - of the Saridh Journal (Language and Discourse) are dissolved in the set of general guidelines for authors, in the ethical considerations for publication and the privacy policy, expressly assigned in the scope of the periodical.

The journal intends to promote the organization of specific thematic issues within the scope of its operating area, as well as its wide dissemination in electronic and digital media. The organization of specific thematic is at the discretion and decision of the editorial board, which reserves the right to meet and decide on the characterization of numbers and volumes, as well as on general issues of acceptance, refusal, maintenance, updating, and publication of productions submitted.

All submission and communication with authors, editors, and reviewers is carried out directly via OJS, or exceptionally, via the journal’s electronic address. To proceed with the submission of articles, the author must access the address (https://periodicos.ufrn.br/RevSaridh), click on submit and create an access register. The submission of the productions must be carried out in strict compliance with the general guidelines for this section being consummated with the return, to the authors, of a confirmation message of receipt of the submission request by the referred editorial board or a designated member. The submitted texts must be in a format and layout that meet the following directions:

  1. to have up to three authors, one of them needs to have at least a master's degree and/or supporting evidence of being a student/researcher stricto sensu, in the subject area of the journal or a related area.
  2. authors whose publication has already been made in a volume and previous issue of the journal must, necessarily, wait for an interstitial period of 12 months for a new submission, except when dealing with a special issue and volume or when invited by a member of the Editorial Board of the periodical, or also, when the submission request is for a different text type.
  3. to present the publication in a model that strictly complies, in terms of formatting, content-disposition, and epistemological incursion, with the general rules and guidelines in force for the journal. Once the members request adaptations and reviews of the editorial and/or advisory board, the authors undertake to provide them within the recommended deadline.
  4. in the case of the interviews, they must deal with a problem consistent with the scope of the journal or mobilize theoretical, methodological content or statements, in close dialogue with the universe of studies about language and discourse, even if under any apparatus of concepts or linked to any aspect of linguistic research.
  5. the content of the productions, the orthographic revision, and their technical-textual formatting are the responsibility of their respective authors and proponents, and may, at the discretion of the editorial board's decision, be altered, modified to appear following the guidelines for the layout customization of the journal.
  6. the study presented is an authentic, original, and unpublished production and is not subject to submission and/or appreciation in another journal of the same nature or similar. In the case of productions that resume other works or that have been the subject of discussion, presentation, or publication, partial, total, or resumed, in other domains and vehicles, they must bring an objective explanation in the text of the submission message, as well as a footnote, on the first page of the submitted manuscript, with the objective mention of this situation.
  7. the authors send, attached to the message with the request for submission of the production to the editorial board, a text version in doc (Office Word) and PDF format.

Inherent in the submission process, all authors are obliged to observe and check the conformity of their texts, as well as to pay attention to the responsibilities and implications resulting from the submission of the items contained in this editorial proposal. Submissions that do not comply with the rules and guidelines will be immediately returned to their respective proponents. During the entire process of submission, appreciation, evaluation, approval, there will be no charge for authors and/or proponents.
