Abstract

: In this work, we seek to analyze and to describe how the discourse of jurists about reading is constructed as a feasible mechanism to help in the resocialization of the people sentenced to a term of imprisonment. The theoretical contribution is based on the works of Eni P. Orlandi (2009, 2012) and Michel Foucault (2013). From that, two articles authored by jurists were selected, in which the ideological formations that give meaning to discourse and determine the opinion about reading were examined. The reduced number of researches and academic papers on resocialization, especially in áreas that are not directly linked to law, reaffirms the importance of this research when it comes to providing researchers that are interested in the subject with increased access to bibliographic sources. In addition, the goal of this work is to contribute to the promotion of the debate surrounding the topic, using the interdisciplinarity that the subject provides.
