Introduction: Given the growing complexity of health needs worldwide, interprofessionality emerges as a guiding path for organizing health care. For this reason, it is justified to discuss the role of the Physical Education Professional (PEP) from the perspective of interprofessional collaborative work. Objective: To identify in the literature the possibilities of interprofessional collaborative work involving the PEP in Primary Health Care (PHC), highlighting its applicability in different contexts. Methodology: This is an integrative review conducted with original articles available in Portuguese, published in the databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), from January 2008 to September 2023, using the following terms: "interprofessionality" and "physical education professional" and their correlates. Results: Out of the 1007 studies found in the initial search, only 03 met the inclusion criteria. The identified results were categorized into two thematic axes: care lines where the PEP is inserted in PHC and strategies for developing interprofessional collaborative work. The care lines where the physical education professional is inserted in PHC include: health care for pregnant and postpartum women; women's health; care for overweight and obese individuals; mental health care; care for individuals with hypertension, diabetes, and/or pre-diabetes. The strategies for developing interprofessional collaborative work include: composition of a multiprofessional team; composition of an interdisciplinary team; intersectoral matrix support; team meetings; welcoming; shared construction of the therapeutic project; unique therapeutic project; interconsultation and intervisit. Conclusions: The study highlighted a significant connection between the work of the PEP and different care lines, as well as identifying several strategies for developing interprofessional work where the PEP is included. This underscores the importance of this professional in the integration of health teams within PHC.
