Introduction: Currently, it is essential to develop techniques and skills that can meet the specific needs of patients in palliative care. Therefore, one of the most recommended alternatives is the use of subcutaneous infusion access, as it is a procedure that allows for early hospital discharge, as it can be performed at home and has a low risk of complications. Conclusions: The Standard Operating Procedure developed for the management of hypodermoclysis in the context of home palliative care represents an important contribution to the standardization and improvement of care, enhancing the safety and comfort of patients with severe or terminal illnesses, as well as promoting the ongoing training of nurses and encouraging the integration of the multidisciplinary team.
