AMORES CLANDESTINOS GAYS NA VELHICE
análise fenomenológica existencial do filme Suk Suk: um amor em segredo
Abstract
This article sought to understand the phenomenon of aging and homosexuality through the analysis of the film Suk Suk: A Secret Love. We started from the hypothesis that gay men are doubly susceptible to stigma and prejudice: due to ageism and LGBTphobia. The theoretical framework was anchored in studies on aging, homosexuality, and sexuality from an existential phenomenological perspective. As a method, we chose hermeneutic phenomenological analysis from a Heideggerian perspective. As a result, the film significantly contributed to the reflection on the existence of gay men in old age, experiencing a dissonant sexuality through affective-sexual experiences and political struggles for life rights, marked by fear, anguish, loneliness, apathy, secrecy, within a contemporary historical context characterized by prejudice, silencing, violence, and invisibility. Thus, the analysis of this film revealed its relevance not only as an artistic expression but also as a contribution to the production of scientific knowledge in the field of existential phenomenology.
